SAA hosted the screening of the prestigious international Cannes Lions Awards 2011 on 30 Nov 2011 at SMU.

The event was well attended by over 100 advertisers, media owners, advertising agencies and marketing communications professionals. Besides the screening and exhibition of some of the world's best advertising works, the audience were treated to a thought provoking keynote speech 'Beyond Advertising' by Rahul Welde, Vice President - Media at Unilever Asia, Africa, Middle East, Turkey and Russia.

Chris Chiu, Group Executive Creative Director of Leo Burnett Group wowed the participants with his award winning entry for the Ministry of Community Development / National Family Council on 'Filial Piety' which was Singapore's sole winner in the Films Lions Category.

As one member aptly summarised, "I came with much enthusiasm and I returned with many fresh advertising ideas and a new marketing experience".
